Appalachian Green Postcard

A rich green landscape, with a field of tall grass edged with trees under a deep blue sky full of clouds. A gnarled dead tree stands by itself in the middle of the field. I took the original photo at my grandfather's Christmas tree farm off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Fancy Gap, Virginia. The grey sky was replaced with a computer-generated one, and the landscape enriched with tone mapping and Orton effects.
