Autumn Maple Tree in Portland Japanese Garden Jigsaw Puzzle

Sun shines through a laceleaf maple ablaze with bright autumn foliage in the Portland Japanese Garden creating a starburst effect. Quite possibly the most photographed tree in the entire world, this laceleaf Japanese maple (sometimes called the "Tree of Life" or "Peter Lik Tree") was planted in 1968 at the Portland Japanese Garden and is estimated to be about 70 years old today. The origins of this tree are a little uncertain but best guesses from the gardeners place the tree at about 20 years old when it was planted.
