Banana Flower Towel

In the background there are yellow green, unripe bananas. In the foreground, the rich, dark reddish brown of the flower petals, called bracts, curve outward. Beneath every petal layer lies an orderly row of little yellow-tipped fronds. These are the buds that eventually become bananas. The petals are a lighter, dusty pink color as the layers unfold toward the heart of the flower.
