Beagle Locket Necklace
Beagles are scent hounds, developed primarily for tracking hare, rabbit, and other game. They have a keen sense of smell and tracking instinct that sees them employed as detection dogs for prohibited agricultural imports and foodstuffs in quarantine around the world. They are popular as pets because of their size, even temper, and lack of inherited health problems. The modern breed was developed in Great Britain around the 1830s from several breeds, including the Talbot Hound, the North Country Beagle, the Southern Hound, and possibly the Harrier.

This is a very good quality silver plated locket necklace and even though it looks lovely in the photo, it is so much prettier in person. I wear it nearly everyday and it has been just fine with no problems either with the chain or with the locket itself. The first thing I noticed was the weight. I'm not saying it's heavy, but it feels good and solid, not cheap or flimsy like it will break in a couple of days. I am very pleased with the photo print. It is excellent! The picture image is exactly what I designed and ordered on the website. I have a loved pet's memorial photo inside of mine and occasionally kiss it for good luck.
