Order your cards at least 6 weeks before the relevant holiday, and 8 weeks for extra wiggle room or if you’d like to order a sample card. This gives time for production, shipping, writing, sealing, addressing, and mailing. Foil and letterpress cards take up to 4 days to produce, while non-foil/non-letterpress cards can take up to 2 days. Your shipping time will then depend on your chosen method, which activates once printing is complete and the shipping label is created. We offer Standard (4 to 7 days), Premium (2 to 3 days), Express (1 to 2 days), Zip (1 to 2 days with expedited production), and Zip PLUS (next day delivery with same-day production).

Yes, we provide Free Guest Addressing, but only for 5 x 7 inch flat cards, inclusive of alternative corner styles such as Bracket, Scalloped, and Rounded. Adding a Front Corner or a Back Flap adds $0.20 and $0.40 per envelope, respectively. You’ll need to provide your return address and the recipient's address, which can also be saved within the Zazzle Connections feature for future use. On your chosen card product page, you’ll see an option that states 'Addressed Envelopes with FREE Guest Addressing' if it qualifies. Blank white envelopes are available for all card types except postcards, but will carry an additional charge of approximately $0.15 (before any discounts are applied).
Our cardstock is measured in points (pt), which indicates how physically thick a card is. The industry standard is between 14 pt and 16 pt thick, placing us on the higher end of that scale. Our Basic Semi-Gloss, Premium Linen, and Premium Pearlescent all meet the 16 pt mark. Signature Matte (our most popular paper type) and Premium Soft-Touch are both 18 pt, while Signature Double-Thick reaches 35 pt thick. The weight of each paper type, measured in GSM (grams per square meter), will differ due to density, composition, coating, fiber, and the manufacturing process. The minimum photo resolution for a flat 5 x 7 inch card is 1000 x 1400 pixels, which translates to 200PPI (pixels per inch). We accept the following file formats: JPEG, PNG, PDF, SVG, and Adobe Illustrator (AI) formats. We recommend you use an original photograph, uploaded directly from your computer or your camera roll, as screenshots, social media downloads, photos received via text message, and heavily cropped photos compress images, reducing their overall resolution. If your image resolution is too small, you’ll receive a notification displaying a yellow or blue bubble. Simply hover the mouse over the bubble, and it’ll say "this image is larger than its original size," indicating that it may appear blurry or pixelated in the final print.
Absolutely. As we have no minimum order requirements, you can order 1 card to review the paper feel, print, and overall quality before you commit to a full batch. After that, cards come in batches of 10. If there’s an issue with the card that includes any damage, defects, or production errors, contact our customer service team, and they’ll assist you with a resolution. If you opt in for Worry Free Design Review and Delivery at checkout, one of our design tool experts will review your order before it’s sent off for printing. Then, once you receive your order, you’ll be entitled to a reprint, credit, or a refund if you’re not happy with any aspect of the holiday card.
There are two types of discounts: promotional and bulk. Promotional discounts change depending on the time of year, with some of the biggest ones available during the holiday season, such as Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and during the Christmas period. Any active discount relevant to holiday cards will be displayed in red font below the price, and it’s automatically applied. You can also view our coupons page for a more in-depth look at the discounts currently available. Bulk discounts activate when you order a certain quantity of cards. These discounts also vary depending on the finish. For example, flat foil holiday cards start at 15% for 30, 20% for 50, 25% for 80, and a maximum of 30% for 100 cards or more. You can check the volume discounts by clicking on the ‘Qty:’ button and scrolling through the available quantities, with the discount written in blue font. Two discounts can't be applied at once; only the higher discount will be counted if both are available.
A digital version can be ordered for most holiday cards. Some designs can’t be directly converted to digital. There’ll be a dropdown menu underneath the blue ‘Personalize your design’ button entitled ‘Choose Your Format.’ There, you'll have have three choices: Printed Invitation, Prints + Instant Download, and Instant Download. Choose Instant Download, and your card will be added to your cart for a one-time price, generally at a cost of $11.95 for cards. Digital cards are convenient for quickly and personally sending your holiday cards, especially when distance, time, or postage makes physical cards less convenient. However, we recommend ordering both a printed version and a digital download.
