The Green Man is a mystical figure in pagan and Celtic traditions, representing the cyclical renewal and rebirth of nature. He is often depicted as a horned, leafy figure, symbolising the explosive growth and fertility of the earth during spring. As the embodiment of the earth's revitalisation, the Green Man is closely tied to the ancient Celtic festival of Beltaine, celebrated on 1 May.
