Birch Bark Canadian Flag Sticker

A digital recreation of Canada's national flag formed by carefully scraping off the reddish outer surface on the reverse, or inner side, of birch bark to reveal the lighter, yellowish layer beneath. This is a traditional craft among Native Americans/First Nations across the northern United States and Canada. I do not claim to be a Native artist. Having lived in the North much of my life I appreciate the many uses of the Birch (Betula spp.) and find the technique simulated on this image to be very beautiful.
