Black Lives Matter 18" x 24" Yard Sign w/H Frame

Buy a yard sign to show your support for Black Lives. All proceeds benefit the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition (BRYC), a college access organization serving predominantly Black youth in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am continuing this fundraiser started by a former student. Read below for information from the original fundraising campaign started by Aaron Posner We stand in solidarity with the Black community in Baton Rouge and across the country and world. The Black community, here and everywhere, has been and remains the target of systemic oppression and State-sanctioned violence. Not only do the Jewish People refuse to condone this; we actively reject and resist it. This fundraiser is a small step toward generating awareness in the Jewish community about the injustices that keep Black people physically unsafe and structurally unable to pursue their dreams. Lack of access to high-quality educational opportunities is one of the many ways America is set up to keep Black people limited. In that light, we are donating all proceeds from this fundraiser to BRYC, a local organization with three Jews in its leadership team. BRYC has an outstanding track record of ensuring equity for underserved Black youth in the college access and persistence space. We thank you for helping support this important work. For our first socially distanced Shabbat service back in our building, we invited a Black Baptist minister to come give the sermon. We made this sign to promote the event. After getting a lot of questions about where others could get this sign, we truly realized how much Black Lives Matter... is a Jewish Value. This dual language sign embraces the Hebrew and biblical call for social justice. The background has the Leviticus text “Do not stand idly by the blood of your neighbor” in both Hebrew and English. In larger Hebrew letters on the bottom, we’ve translated “Black Lives Matter” into Hebrew.
