This is a beautiful vintage religious image of Our Lady of Ocotlan of Tlxcala, Mexico. A young native Tlaxcalan man named Juan Diego Bernardino was going to draw water from a river believed at the time to have healing properties. . Our Lady appeared to him and lead him to a special spring of water. She promised him that an image of herself could be found within a tree.
