Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse 2018 Pinback Button

A very rare super blue blood moon on January 31, 2018 is the second full Moon in January, hence a Blue Moon. The Moon also approaches closest to the Earth in its orbit causing it to appear noticeably larger, which is a Super Moon. At the same time, a total lunar eclipse takes place, turning the full moon from a brilliant white spotlight in the sky to a deep rich red color with a blood-like appearance while the eclipse in in progress. This is known as a Blood Moon. The three simultaneous events create what astronomers call a Super Blue Blood Moon.
