And you will hear people say " Oh, you just need to get up and move more" or "Exercise will stop the pain" or "Lose weight and you will be ok" or "Wow, you don't look sick" or "You are just lazy" - Honestly, I have heard them all. Some from my own family when I first got diagnosed. I was diagnosed in 2002. I had no idea that RA existed, let alone it was a disease and what it would do to me. Since then some of my family (unfortunately not all) have wised up and did research to support me and find out what I am going through.
