St Ives is well known for it’s amazing light and has been sought out by many artists over the years. I saw a TV programme on it ages ago and they said it was due to the unusual layout and that there is light coming from more than one side. Whatever the reason St Ives is a truly magical places that draws locals and holidaymakers alike. For me it was the changing light and the reflections that pulled me into the scene. You could sit and smell the salty air and listen to the buzz of the harbor activity yet there was a stillness in the harbor itself and a brooding sky.
