Boscastle Postcard
Boscastle is a village and working fishing port on the north coast of Cornwall. The name of the village derives from Bottreaux Castle, a 12th century motte-and-bailey fortress of which little remains. Boscastle harbour is a natural inlet protected by two harbour walls built in 1584. Boscastle made the headlines world wide on 16th August 2004 when a flash flood hit, turning roads into rivers and causing extensive damage to the village.
