British Columbia Sasquatch License Plate Belt
On the buckle, the dark silhouette of Sasquatch (Bigfoot) on a blank British Columbia license plate. Add your own text. The Sasquatch image from the license plate on the buckle appears multiple times on one side of the belt. The other side of the belt is black. License plates for additional states and other entities (Canadian provinces, foreign countries) upon request. If you live or travel in rural areas of British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest you may possibly come across one of the region’s lesser-known species of native wildlife. “Sasquatch” is an anglicized derivative of the word “Sésquac” which means “wild man” in a Salish Native American language. Sasquatch is reported to be a large, hairy ape-like creature, ranging between 6–10 feet tall, weighing in excess of 500 pounds, and covered in dark brown or dark reddish hair. Alleged witnesses describe large eyes, a pronounced brow ridge, and a large, low-set forehead; the top of the head has been described as rounded and crested, similar to the sagittal crest of the male gorilla. Sasquatch is commonly reported to have a strong, unpleasant smell. Enormous footprints for which it is named are as large as 24 inches long and 8 inches wide. Tufts of hair of an unidentified primate species are often found. Most scientists say Sasquatch, aka Bigfoot, is nothing but folklore and attribute sightings or footprints to misidentification or hoaxes. However, some scientists such as Jane Goodall believe it may exist. One theory suggests Sasquatch are a relic population of ancient hominids which reached North America from Eurasia via the Bering Land Bridge during a period of glaciation. Stories about Sasquatch-like creatures are found among the indigenous population of the Pacific Northwest. The legends existed prior to a single name for the creature. They differed in their details both regionally and between families in the same community. Similar stories are found on every continent except Antarctica to include the Australian Yowie. Members of the Lummi tell tales about Ts’emekwes, the local version of Bigfoot. The stories are similar to each other in terms of the general descriptions of Ts’emekwes, but details about the creature’s diet and activities differed between the stories of different families. Some regional versions contained more nefarious creatures. The stiyaha or kwi-kwiyai were a nocturnal race that children were told not to say the names of lest the monsters hear and come to carry off a person—sometimes to be killed. In 1847, Paul Kane reported stories by the native people about skoocooms: a race of cannibalistic wild men living on the peak of Mount St. Helens. The skoocooms appear to have been regarded as supernatural, rather than natural. Less menacing versions such as the one recorded by Reverend Elkanah Walker exist. In 1840, Walker, a Protestant missionary, recorded stories of giants among the Native Americans living in Spokane, Washington. The Indians claimed that these giants lived on and around the peaks of nearby mountains and stole salmon from the fishermen’s nets. The local legends were combined together by J. W. Burns in a series of Canadian newspaper articles in the 1920s. Each language had its own name for the local version. Many names meant something along the lines of “wild man” or “hairy man” although other names described common actions it was said to perform (e.g. eating clams). Burns coined the term Sasquatch, which is from the Halkomelem sásq’ets (IPA: [ˈsæsqʼəts]), and used it in his articles to describe a hypothetical single type of creature reflected in these various stories. Burns’s articles popularized both the legend and its new name, making it well known in western Canada before it gained popularity in the United States. Absolutely outstanding quality with vibrant colors and clear image! I personally loved the product and the characters owner. I added this as a gift to go along with a costume that was commissioned with a strict dec. 1st deadline about mid November, and was shocked with how fast the express shipping was! Despite the fast turnaround time everything turned out great and better that I expected!
I’ll definitely make this my go to site for custom stuff! Outstanding print and vibrant colors! Due to the size of the product I’d recommend not doing any small, close touching details, as they could possibly get lost.

Fun! Cute, sassy. Lets me live out my fantasy of being the rebel punk girl.
Uses: When you want to look like you borrowed some caution tape from a crime scene to make your outfit more edgy. Makes any outfit look a little more punk!
Especially with a plaid mini-skort, or some heavily distressed black jeans. Reversible:
Makes it versatile! Change the color with your mood. Two designs on one belt means it’s a great bang-for-the-buck value!
Colors: Yellow side is a little lighter. Pink is a dark coral.
Colors are very vibrant, in bright sun looks almost neon.
Texture: Smooth, silky woven.
Belt Buckle:
Shiny, metal. Solid and well constructed. Looks really cool!! Keeps the belt in place firmly, as it’s supposed to. A little tricky to figure out if you’re not used to this style. (It’s a military-style flip top buckle, if you need to look it up, like I did. Hehe)
Fit:
I’m a plus size 1x or Womens 16 pants size, this belt fits comfortably with a little room to spare. And it can be adjusted to pretty much any size under that, since you can slide the buckle to make it any length. On the Belt buckle:
Very clear, vibrant colors and deep black. I used a high-resolution, high contrast image with simple shapes. (And no light colors.)
On the Canvas Belt:
Very vibrant, clear printing. A tiny bit of smudging along the edge, in one spot, where the black meets dark pink, but honestly I like the look of that in this case.

Maybe it was my mistake, but I didn't see an option to pick the length of the belt. As someone who wears size 4 in pants, it's pretty long, but definitely not a bad thing in my opinion!
The belt feels like high quality material. The buckle seems to be very sturdy, too! I have not used it yet, but will today when I go to work. Can you tell I work at a pet store by the pictures? Lol! Anyway, I would definitely recommend getting this belt for what ever the occasion; it's a great price for such great material! The material of the belt is seen through the picture, giving the pictures a wavy look, but the pictures came out perfectly! The colors are exactly like the original picture, in all the belt is just beautiful! Even the picture on the buckle is amazing and doesn't look like it can easily come off, although the buckle picture seems a bit brighter than the original. In all, I'm extremely impressed with how it turned out, and definitely recommend it if you want to have your own pictures on the belt!
PS, all the pictures on both sides of the belt turned out perfect!
