Bruegel's Landscape with the Fall of Icarus - 1558 Card

Pieter Bruegel's Classic Renaissance Painting of the Icarus Myth, Northern Renaissance artwork that has passed into the public domain and makes wonderful gifts and other products. All of the Fine Art, Vintage Art, Classic Masterpieces, and other Antique Masterworks here at Masterpiece Gallery have been carefully edited and placed on products to provide the best possible results. We may not have as many items for sale as some of the bulk stores, but please be assured that we pay attention to the details and design each product for maximum positive effect. Although recent work has indicated this may not be his work, it remains one of the most famous paintings attributed to Bruegel. Bruegel (1525-1569) was a Dutch Renaissance painter whose works include Landscape with the Fall of Icarus (circa 1558), The Tower of Babel (1563), as well as his famous peasant scenes. Also known as "Peasant Bruegel," he was father to Pieter Brueghel the Younger and Jan Brueghel the Elder, and uncle to Jan Brueghel the Younger. All of our products are made with large scale images that have been carefully edited to provide the best resolution, color and detail possible.

Rather than use one of the online photo outlets, I was able to create a photo card for much less that also allowed me to position the photos with the right dimensions. I will make my own cards again next year at Christmas. Cardstock is of good quality and thicker than a normal photo.

Creator Review
These cards are great. I love the painting--which is a print of the artist's original work--a mixed media painting with a skull and tree--very macabre! The colors are great and the reproduction on the cards is awesome--great quality!! These would be great for Halloween, or for anyone who loves original artwork with a touch of mystery and/or punk rock! The artist is from Salem, MA and this really reflects in what you see. The paper is heavy stock and perfect for if you just want to frame the card and put it on your wall, or if you'd like to send a note to a friend. Great product!! The printing came out great! The quality is great and resolution is quite clear and detailed! You can see the original artist strokes and pen lines. I love it!
