Panorama shows the fresh vegetation of springtime and Mississippian-age limestone cliffs along the Buffalo River, Arkansas, in May, 2008. The Buffalo National River is a popular spot for canoeing and hiking. This particular view, toward the west, or upstream, was located about one-half mile from the Tyler Bend Visitor Center. Buffalo River water-quality is extremely good and discharge was high on this particular weekend.
