The C-130 Hercules is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft operated by the US Air force, US Navy, US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard. For over 50 years the C-130 has developed into a variety of roles which include operating as a troop, medevac and cargo transport aircraft. Later the C-130 developed into a gunship, airborne assault, search and rescue, scientific research support, weather reconnaissance, aerial refueling, maritime patrol, and aerial firefighting platform.
