A digital recreation of Canada's national flag formed by carefully scraping off the reddish outer surface on the reverse side of birchbark to reveal the lighter, yellowish layer beneath. This is a traditional craft among Native Americans/First Nations across the northern United States and Canada. Add your own text; perhaps, "Happy Canada Day!"
I do not claim to be a Native artist. Having lived in the North much of my life I appreciate the many uses of the Birch (Betula spp.) and find the technique simulated on this image to be very beautiful.

My daughter is a huge Sesame Street fan, and her favorite is Oscar. For her birthday I wanted to get her something special with Oscar and this blanket is perfect!! It is a nice size and super soft and comfy! She takes her nap and goes to sleep with it every day, definitely worth every dollar!! I was a little skeptical about how the actual image would come out, but after receiving the blanket I couldnt be more pleased. The colors are bright and the image is sharp. The details are amazing!!
