Canadian Flag On Inner Birch Bark Toddler T-shirt
A digital recreation of Canada's national flag formed by carefully scraping off the reddish outer surface on the reverse side of birchbark to reveal the lighter, yellowish layer beneath. I do not claim to be a Native artist. Having lived in the North much of my life I appreciate the many uses of the Birch (Betula spp.) and find the technique simulated on this image to be very beautiful.
