Cape Hatteras to Charleston Nautical Chart 11520 Canvas Print
This is NOAA’s nautical chart number 11520. It is often referred to as a nautical chart or a nautical map. It is based on the original, traditional paper nautical chart. It covers a section of the North Atlantic Ocean, including portions of the South Carolina and North Carolina coasts. Coverage extends from Gull Island, just north of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina south to Stono Inlet, just below Charleston, South Carolina. The chart's scale is 1:432,720 at Lat. 34°N. Also, this chart provides references to supplemental charts for detailed coverage of selected areas. Color shading on the chart indicates various water depths and land elevations. Depth soundings are in fathoms. Also included on the chart are some of the aids and hazards to navigation in the chart’s coverage area. This paper chart and others like it are being phased out by NOAA. Electronic charts for onboard navigation are replacing paper charts. Certain products in our NauticalChart Store utilize cropped or edited elements on the chart. I have removed sections to improve the overall aesthetic quality of the image. Cropping and reprinting this chart makes it unsuitable for navigation. However, this chart is ideal for home and business decor. Framed nautical charts make great conservation pieces. Nautical charts printed on other products in our store make excellent additions to the decor in living areas, bedroom areas, and bathrooms. Wall art created from nautical charts is ideal for creating a nautical theme for homes and businesses. This nautical chart was used to create additional products and apparel.
Significant landmarks and navigational references on this chart include the Atlantic Ocean, Pamlico Sound, Onslow Bay, Long Bay, Cape Hatteras, Raleigh Bay, Core Banks, Core Sound, Lookout Bight, Bogue Sound, Cape Lookout Shoals, Carolina Beach Inlet, Cape Fear, Frying Pan Shoals, Myrtle Beach, Georgetown, Murphy Island, Bulls Bay, Isle of Palms, Folly Island, Charleston Light, and James Island.

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. I ordered this product to see what the quality was because I am selling it on my store. Plus it was on sale and it was an excellent price! I didn’t expect it to be as nice. It really is beautiful. I am relieved! The only thing I don’t like about it is the sawtooth hanger on the back. I prefer a wire hanging system. The sawtooth hanger was not even centered but I managed to hang it straight anyway. Overall I love it! I will add the wire myself. The printing was clear and crisp and the colors were excellent! The canvas was stretched tight and professionally done. I am very happy with the quality of the print!
