Capernwray Tyre Swing - Kitchen Towel

Capernwray Hall in Carnforth, Lancashire is surrounded by beautiful gardens, fields and farmland and there are many pockets of trees throughout the property. From one of those trees hangs a tyre swing (at least, it did when I was a student at the Bible School there). This scene caught my attention as I was out and about with my camera one day and I felt it was worthy of being captured in a watercolour painting. I added further details with pen and ink. The scene is a good reminder of the joy of life and that play is a refreshing part of our humanity that can keep us from taking ourselves too seriously.
