Carl Heinrich Bloch - Suffer the Children Postcard

Carl Heinrich Bloch’s masterpiece, from the chapel of Frederiksborg Palace, “Suffer the Children”. Bloch was born 1834 in Copenhagen Denmark. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Art and between 1859-66 he lived in Italy which greatly influenced his artistic style. In 1865 he was commissioned to produce 23 painting depicting the life of Christ for the chapel of Frederiksborg Palace.
