Cat Book Lovers Library Art Tote Bag

A fun tote for anyone who loves cats and books. Both front and back is a photograph of well read mostly leather tooled books from the Leadhills Miners Library in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, the oldest subscription library in the world. Titles include Good Words, Plant Life, Wild Life in Sunny Lands and Mechanical Engineering. Draped top and bottom on each side is a group of cats, calico, ginger, marmalade, and black and white alternatively standing alert, climbing and snoozing. And there’s a very clever cat reading a book. Illustrations by Art Nouveau artist Alexandre Steinlen and Edward Penfield. On the front I’ve added the initials ER to show how you can customise with your initials. The bag would be the perfect gift for friends who loves books and reading, and cats, of course! You can change the chocolate brown background colour to anything you fancy.
