Cat Heaven Postcard

For cat owners, one of the best things in life is coming home to a cat who's missed you and shows it by purring their hearts out, quivering their tail at the sight of you and generally being affectionate in a cat's special way. Just heavenly. Speaking of which, heaven wouldn't be heaven if there were no cats there. This quote by that famous person called Anonymous sums it up: No heaven will not ever Heaven be unless my cats are there to welcome me. I've teamed up this beautiful quotation with my version of an illustration by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861), one of the leading Ukiyo-e artists of the late Edo period in 19th century Japan. Among his favourite subjects were cats. The illustration on the postcard features a cat welcoming his mistress home by licking her face. The cat's mistress is in traditional Japanese kimono. The card would be perfect for cat owners, cat lovers and admirers of vintage Japanese cat art.
