I am a viola player. Our alto clef was confusing to many of my college classmates, but I think it's spectacular that the center line that the alto clef points to is middle C = the Center of the Musical Universe! I'll love to flaunt this design in my musical circles. It'll be kind of an inside joke for us violists (and trombonists, and whoever else uses the wonderful alto clef).
