Cinema Impero, Asmara Poker Chips

During the 1930s, the Eritrean capital of Asmara served as a sandbox for young Italian architects experimenting in modern building forms. The result is a wonderful collection of modernist buildings This is the Cinema Impero (1937) designed by Mario Messina. Using my original photographs as a starting point, I have employed various techniques to create these delicious retro-style images. If you like this design (or not) then leave a comment.
