Maru-ni-Jigami: The design of this crest is based on the "split of the fan" concept described in the crest book (it's not possible to draw the Jigami crest exactly as described in the "split of the fan"). This is an application of that concept to the Jigami. (Created on April 10, 2013) In contrast to the Ougibone, which refers to a fan without paper, only the bones, the Jigami refers to the paper without the bones. (From 'Family Crests Made Easy')
