City - I can see my house from here 1915 Ceramic Tile

Colorized photo from 1915 Original title: View from Mt. Adams Photographer: Detroit Publishing Location: Above 395 Oregon St., Cincinnati, OH Originally, Mount Adams had a long incline, it took people out of the smog and into slightly less smoggy air at the top (I don't see how they could have contained it). This is the view of the city as seen in 1915, it was a part of a large panorama. Currently this location is a parking lot, but the houses below are all still there. The green house, was originally built in 1871 and it still stands today, minus the tracks. What isn't there is most of this city, everything from that paperboard factory, all the way to the road that leads you onto the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge, as torn down to make room for the interstate. Half of this incline was included in that. Today the city is much different looking. The building with the white top, with brick on bottom, is the Traction Building, its currently located at Fifth and Walnut, to give you some bearings. The tall white tower in the back is the Union Central building, its still there as well. I find it surprising that all the little churches and cathedrals were removed.
