Esther Roy of Maitland H McDougall Master off Holyhead 12 Nov 1898 The last and largest clipper ship project undertaken by the firm Frieze and Roy was a shipping, shipbuilding and trading firm located in Maitland, Hants County, Nova Scotia, Canada. Founded in 1836 was Esther Roy, a ship of 1,533 tons, which was launched in 1877. She was later sold to an Italian company in 1895. Clipper ships were mid-19th century merchant sailing vessels designed for speed. They were narrow for their length, small by later 19th-century standards, and could carry limited bulk freight. They had a large total sail area and could travel at speeds of up to 30 kilometers an hour, far faster than the average merchant ship.

From the pictures we needed to replace two tiles that had the old toothbrush and soap dish and the tile guy said two tiles would have to be removed. The tiles were PERFECT! just a slight color difference to the naked eye but they match pretty darn good. Tile guy had to shave the back because the 1957 tile was thinner but as you can see it worked out great! We are elated over the moon happy, Thank you!
