Clipper Ship Flying Cloud - Blueprint ABD Postcard

This striking blue-print style poster depicts the historic American clipper ship Flying Cloud, a vessel celebrated for its remarkable speed and graceful design. Built in 1851 in East Boston by famed shipbuilder Donald McKay, the ship represented the pinnacle of clipper ship engineering during the golden age of sailing commerce. The journey took only 89 days and 8 hours, setting a sailing record that stood for many years and showcasing the incredible performance of clipper ships navigating the long route around Cape Horn. Measuring roughly 225 feet in length and displacing about 1,782 tons, the Flying Cloud combined size, strength, and speed in a beautifully balanced design.
