Cognizant Energies Button

Using the KPT filter “Texture Explorer” and other layering and filtering effects in Photoshop, I created this image in my Abstract Image series. First named Abstract Image 371, I later renamed it Cognizant Energies. For the Impressions Project my friend Ken Yarbrough wrote the following inspired by this image: Inhaling deeply as I walk along the beach, the cool surf swirls around my ankles. I feel a tug under my bare feet, the pull of sand and sea urging me farther into the womb of deeper water. White capped waves rise, pausing for a half second, sparkle emerald green and crash into themselves. The cycle never ends. I stare out onto the horizon, trying to discern where azure sky meets turquoise ocean. I trace the pure crystalline sparkle of sunlight over the waves into the indiscernible distance. My mind, so calm, relaxed and rested, is totally in this place, surrounded by this moment. God's breath strokes my hair and whispers into my ear. She explains infinity and I understand.
