A marvelous image by William Blake (1757-1827), inspired by a comet he witnessed in 1811. The print was found in the artist’s estate from where lots of my stuff comes from. Her copy was on very old rag paper and seemed to be hand-painted. Maybe a rendering of an early 19th century tourist souvenir? An art student’s copy? The real thing?? (KaCHING) Looks equally marvelous on all kinds of EVERYTHING, including throw blankets. Note: Mr. Blake painted a face on the comet, which is really neat. Wanna see more old? The product is so soft and I would recommend to you to purchase. I myself have ordered close to 20 and am giving as gifts. Because my pictures are not the right resolution for the larger size they are a little blurry but the overall results are great.
