3280 Catalina's were built by its US and Canadian manufacturers the majority being PBY3s to PBY6As. Also used by the British Coastal Command in it's defense of the UK! It was an essential and excellent aircraft during the "Battle for the Atlantic" during WWII. Some still fly today!
