The mission of Correctional Officers of America (COA) is to encourage America's Correctional Officers (COs) to put on the Full Armor of God. COA is dedicated to creating strong national partnerships in support of the mental, physical, financial and spiritual health and wellness of America’s COs. COA supports America’s COs by raising awareness of their God given authority, purpose and importance. COA is committed to securing appreciation, recognition and respect for America's COs and Detention Deputies (DDs) who have sworn an oath to both their respective state of residence and the United States of America and have a duty to serve as emergency first responders (EFRs) and law enforcement officers (LEOs) responsible for ensuring the safety and security of America’s prisons and jails while witnessing to and providing care, custody and control of America’s inmate population.
