This little baby cougar looks a little bit nervous about scrambling into the big wide world. His cute kitten expression was irresistible to me, I just had to paint him, I used a soft pastel medium because I love the way I can capture every little cougar hair of his amazing coat. He's a very special wild cat. The original image of this cute cougar kitten is in full color, but for this card I've digitally enhanced it to give it a greyscale effect for this card, The original poem printed over the baby cougar painting is titled "Cries Of Sorrow" and is one of my original published poems. The poem is about the mindless animal cruelty that goes on in the world today, I wrote it many years ago when I was a supporter of the Worldwide fund for animals, I heard of so much cruelty and it inspired me to write a poem for an animal anthology, the anthology was a multi poet anthology.
