Country Meadow Landscape (by Alfred Sisley) Jigsaw Puzzle

This design features an artwork by the Impressionist landscape painter Alfred Sisley (1839–1899). He spent most of his life in France, but remained a British citizen, and he strongly believed in painting his landscapes "en plein air" (by which he meant "outdoors"). This painting shows a meadow near Louveciennes in north-central France, where flowers, daisies, poppies, blueberries and herbs are growing. Two little girls in blue dress and straw hats are in the center of the scene. There is a wooden fence towards the right, and there is a clump of trees growing behind it. It provides a beautiful view of the countryside in summer, and many agricultural fields can be seen in the distance. The original painting was produced in 1875, and it is now housed in the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.
