Court House 2016 Ornament The ornament that started it all. This ornament features my original painting of the historic courthouse in Victoria, Virginia. What makes this piece especially meaningful is that I originally created the painting for a very special purpose—to represent our county on a Christmas tree at the Governor’s Mansion. As I worked on the painting, I was struck by the beauty and history of the courthouse. The stately columns, waving American flag, and familiar architecture stand as symbols of the community that has been home to generations of families. I wanted to capture not only the building itself, but also the pride and heritage it represents. After the ornament was created, I realized how wonderful it would be to transform more of my paintings into keepsakes that could be enjoyed year after year. That single ornament sparked an idea that eventually grew into my collection of Christmas ornaments featuring artwork inspired by hometown memories, faith, family, and treasured traditions. Because of that, this ornament holds a special place in my heart. It marks the beginning of a journey that allowed my paintings to become part of holiday celebrations in homes near and far. Whether displayed on a Christmas tree or year-round on an ornament stand, the Court House Ornament celebrates local history, community pride, and the story behind the ornament collection itself.
