Creation of the World T-Shirt

In Cherokee legend, the world was created when Doyunisi, beaver's grandchild (Doya + unisi), the water beetle, flew down from the sky vault, swam to the bottom of the ocean, and gathered up some mud, which grew on her back to create the land. All the other creatures then came down from the sky to spread across the earth. She was then supported by four cords, one in each cardinal direction, that help her keep from sinking down into the ocean. This design features ᏙᏳᏂᏏ (Doyunisi) inside the circle and cross symbol, which is a traditional symbol representing the world among other concepts.
