About This Design

Crisscrossed Through A Generation (Punnett Square) Two-Tone Coffee Mug

Crisscrossed Through A Generation (Punnett Square) Two-Tone Coffee Mug

Showcase your knowledge of monohybrid cross (i.e., the inheritance of a single characteristic) with a dose of Punnett square attitude with this mug! Featuring a Punnett square along with the caption "Crisscrossed Through A Generation". Specifically, the monohybrid cross is used to determine the F2 generation from a pair of homozygous grandparents (one grandparent dominant, the other recessive) which results in an F1 generation that are all heterozygous. Crossing two heterozygous parents from the F1 generation results in an F2 generation that produces a 75% chance for the appearance of the dominant phenotype, of which two-thirds are heterozygous, and a 25% chance for the appearance of the recessive phenotype. This cross was originally used by biologist, Gregor Mendel, who crossed two pea plants to obtain a hybrid variety, discovering the possible changes in phenotypes of various alleles.

The mug itself is a good quality mug but what sets it apart is the vibrant colors and the quality of the printing. Great , printing came out exactly the way it was meant to be with outstanding quality colors.

Perfect size for my morning coffee! 8 oz is definitely not enough to get me going. This 15oz mug is perfect! The handle allows a good grip.... it's the little things ;). Great quality! Black print matches the inside of the mug which adds a nice contrast to the design.
