Modern, black, customizable Tuskegee Airmen Day Budget button, showing a well-known photo of African-American pilots of the 332nd Fighter Group who fought in World War Two. Here they are pictured in Ramitelli, Italy. They didn't only fight the enemy in the air -- and excelled at it -- but also had to confront racism on the ground. Their motto RISE ABOVE meant more than just flying. The black and white photo has been given a color overlay. The text reads is CUSTOMIZABLE. It celebrates not only the fighter and bomber pilots in the air, but the many men and women who supported them. Tuskegee Airmen Day is celebrated in March, and is a good follow-up celebration to the US Black History Month in February.
