Daffodil Portrait Canvas Print

When I took the first picture of a daffodil my daughter wanted to take a picture of a spring flower at school. I have not idea how she used the original photo. It did look like this one. Anyway as the artist that worked on this it took me longer to this than any other digital painting. I decided to trace the details on top of a photo with a digital app that allows me the ability to trace from a photo. Then after tracing I took the time to paint what I had traced on another layer while using the tracing as a guide to paint it. I set a schedule that I would spend one hour and fifteen minutes four times a week until I completed it. It is important to stick with a consistent schedule when creating a highly detailed peace of work because this portrait was a new system for me.
