For all her rambunctiousness, Cindy's black lab Dakota has one of the most gentle temperaments that I've ever encountered in a large dog. Long on maternal instincts, Dakota moves with an air of otherworldly wisdom and serenity. Humble and undemanding, in her company you can't shake the feeling you're with someone a lot smarter than you. Dakota likes to sit in the sun, and Cindy has nicely captured her here in front of the veggie garden.
