Davul Zurna Balkan Instruments Band Organic Shirt

The davul (Balkan bass drum) and zurna (Balkan oboe) are a classic combination in Balkan folk music. They are often heard together, playing for ceremonies such as weddings, birthdays, and village festivals. Both traditional Balkan instruments were used in ancient Turkish military music, or mehter musikisi, where their loud sound signaled the coming of the army and scared the enemies. Nowadays Balkan folk dancers and belly dancers dance to the distinctive sounds, and they are still used in Turkish military bands. This design features two cartoon ducks playing zurna (wooden trumpets) and marching along. They are followed by a cartoon bear smiling and playing davul drum, also known as daouli, tapan, tupan, or daul.
