Daylily Flower / Spider Lily / Burgundy & Yellow / Button

Printed on this customizable button is a beautiful burgundy and yellow spider type daylily flower. This daylily cultivar was registered with the American Hemerocallis Society in 1996 as 'Planet Max' and was hybridized by Margo Reed of Woodhenge Gardens in North Garden, Virginia in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. This particular variety is what's called a spider type and the color is described as a dark purple self with a lemon throat. The flower diameter gets to an average of 7" and the bloom scape height gets up an average of to 42" tall. Daylilies are one of the easiest to grow and carefree perennials out there, loved by millions. There are over 80,000 registered cultivars to choose from and many people become avid collectors once bitten by the daylily bug (I know from experience!). They're like potato chips, you can't have just one! These buttons make great name tags, especially for a daylily or garden club.
