Story: The Guardian of the Blue Ridge
In the dense, misty forests of West Virginia, where the Blue Ridge Mountains stretched majestically across the landscape, lived a wise old bear named Bramble. Bramble was not just any bear; he was a guardian of the forest, a protector of the delicate balance between nature and the beings who called it home. Home was close to home of Judi the artists of Brush Crush Art by Judi.
Bramble had watched over the forest for many years, and watched Miss Judi through her window as she would create beautiful art. His keen eyes observing the changing seasons and the creatures that thrived within his domain. His fur, a rich blend of browns and blacks, was scarred from the many battles he had fought to defend his territory. But it was his eyes that told the true story of his wisdom and experience—deep, expressive eyes that had seen the world shift and evolve.
One autumn, as the leaves turned golden and the air grew crisp, a new threat emerged in Bramble's forest. A group of loggers arrived, intent on cutting down the ancient trees that had stood for centuries. The forest animals, frightened and unsure of what to do, turned to Bramble for guidance.
With a determined growl, Bramble rallied the animals. Together, they devised a plan to protect their home. The birds spread the word, the deer and foxes scouted the loggers' movements, and the beavers built dams to slow their progress. Bramble himself stood at the front lines, a symbol of strength and resilience.
As the loggers advanced, they found themselves thwarted at every turn. The animals' coordinated efforts created obstacles and delays that frustrated the intruders. One night, under the light of a full moon, Bramble approached the loggers' camp. He stood tall, his imposing figure casting a long shadow. His deep, expressive eyes locked onto the leader of the loggers, conveying a silent message of determination and resolve.
The leader, struck by the bear's presence and the unity of the forest creatures, realized the true cost of their actions. He called off the operation, vowing to leave the ancient forest untouched.
Bramble and the animals watched as the loggers packed up and left, their home once again safe. The forest erupted in a chorus of gratitude, and Bramble returned to his peaceful watch, knowing that the bonds of nature and community had triumphed.
From that day forward, the legend of Bramble, the Guardian of the Blue Ridge, spread far and wide. His story became a symbol of the power of unity and the importance of protecting the natural world. The ancient trees stood tall, and the animals thrived, forever grateful to their wise and courageous guardian.

Easy to work with, the colors were as shown online, the weight of the paper was nice.
I turned an old refrigerator box into a bookshelf in a guest bedroom / reading room. The paper went on clean, the ink did not run when finish was applied. I love the way it turned out! Sharp, no muddied spots
