Delicate Flowers Jugendstil Art Nouveau Germany Ceramic Tile
The hand-decorated tile (ca. 1900) depicts a yellow flower by Grohn, Germany. Created originally using liquid resin press molding, the company presented this tile at the St. Louis World's Fair.
They later partnered with the Belgian manufacturer Maison Helman Céramique in Brussels, Belgium, and became the "Bremer Wandplattenfabrik". They later merged with the local Grohner Wandplatten Fabrik AG as well as the Steingutfabrik Witteburg.

From the pictures we needed to replace two tiles that had the old toothbrush and soap dish and the tile guy said two tiles would have to be removed. The tiles were PERFECT! just a slight color difference to the naked eye but they match pretty darn good. Tile guy had to shave the back because the 1957 tile was thinner but as you can see it worked out great! We are elated over the moon happy, Thank you!
