鬱 The character reads as/utsu . The meaning of this kanji is "Depression / prostration,". Hand written by a shodoka (Japanese calligraphy master) This design was drawn with brushes and a special paper for calligraphy, and it might have resulted in some gradations of tones and blurs. The shirt is good quality and fits just fine, but the colors of the printing are not as bright as in the sample photo. Not the best. The colors are a lot brighter in the sample photo; when I received the shirt they appeared faded. The red looks a little more pink and the blue is a lot lighter. N.B. I did not wash the shirt yet.
