"Dinosaur Friends II" Mug
"Dinosaur Friends 2" is the title - one of my favourite paintings I've done yet, and my first of 2010! Quick background - when I was a very little girl I had some allegedly "imaginary" friends of mine which were dinosaurs. An amateur paleontologist even then, I remember them more clearly and distinctly than I do most of my other friends from that age. So I thought I'd create a series of paintings inspired by them. This litle girl has dinosaur friends as well (but seems to have a much nicer house than I did!). Her eyes are striking - golden, almost reptilian. Her bedroom is in high Rococo style, and she even has a Spinosaurus friend (one of my personal favourite dinosaurs, as well as my nephew Luke's!). My own original acrylic painting.

My sisters and Mom and I love Christmas and the Holiday season in general, so I thought how perfect to be able to personalize one of our fave Holiday movies! They came out beautifully and my sisters and Mom were very touched! See for yourself in my picture attached! 2 out of 4 were Perfect!
