Disability Pride Flag Magnet

Decorate your fridge with a reminder of your commitment, love for disability justice. If you're disabled, hopefully each time you look at it you can remember that you're loved and feel less alone. If you're trying to be in solidarity, having a reminder of who you're showing up for is important and sends the message to your family, and kids if you have them that disability justice is an important family value. If the kids are disabled, its a great way to show them how important they are, and if they're not its a wonderful example to set. This is the Disability Pride flag designed by Ann MaGill, a disabled artist who collaborated with the community in the process. She's asked that it be used widely and freely and put it in public domain. ----------- This is the symbolism: "The Black Field: Represents our mourning for those of us (disabled people) who have suffered, lost their lives from Ableist violence, negligence, suicide and/ or eugenics. - The Parallel Stripes: These represent solidarity within the Disability Community, despite our differences. - The Five Colors: These colors represent the diversity within disability and our experiences (Mental Illness, Neurodiversity, Invisible and Undiagnosed Disabilities, Physical Disability, and Sensory Disabilities).
