A Busy Day in Dollville - a Little Girl's Life
The Dolly Laundry illustration was originally a Diamond Dyes advertisement from 1911. The little blonde girl has a lovely blue dress on, while she's working on her pot of red dye and holding her little doll's dress over the hot dye. Her dollies are in the background, watching the little girl as if approving of a new dress! The artwork is done by illustrator Bessie Pease Gutmann, who was known for her children, animals, and fruit illustrations. It was created for Diamond Dyes and placed on tin signs and trays.
